Storage Tips

This tasty raisin pie can stay fresh at room temperature for 2 days when covered with plastic wrap or stored in an airtight container. Want to keep it longer? Pop it in the fridge for up to 5 days! The filling might get a bit firmer when cold, so let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving for the best texture. You can also freeze the whole pie for up to 3 months – just wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil.

Variations & Substitutions

Make this pie your own with some simple swaps! Don’t have walnuts? Try pecans or almonds instead – they’re just as yummy. For a different twist, mix in some dried cranberries or chopped dates with the raisins. Can’t do nuts? Skip them completely – your pie will still be wonderful! If you’re out of fresh orange juice, bottled works fine too. Just remember to keep the total amount of liquid the same to maintain that perfect filling consistency.

Serving Suggestions

This sweet and fruity pie is amazing on its own, but why not dress it up? Try serving it slightly warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. For breakfast or afternoon tea, pair it with a hot cup of coffee or tea. My favorite way to enjoy it? Warm up a slice for 15-20 seconds in the microwave – it brings out all those cozy orange and raisin flavors!
